BACKGROUND OF KIBAGABAGA HOSPITAL 2021

Construction:

-Construction began on 3rd March 2003 by BTC,

-First stone was laid by His Excellency The President of the Republic, Paul Kagame on 5th May 2003.

- Provisional acceptance May 27th, 2005,

- The Board of Directors established by the    

   District Council of 23rd september 2006.

- The launch of clinical activities 31st October    2006.

BRIEF

Kibagabaga Hospital is one of the hospitals of Districts of the City of Kigali. During decentralization, this hospital was located in the Administrative District of Gasabo , it consists of six health facilities

The hospital receives patients from Kibagabaga  located in RUGERO UMUDUGUDU; AKAGALI CELL; KIMIRONKO SECTOR ! its radiation area ( Gasabo ) and those who come in other surrounding districts ( Kicukiro , Nyarugenge ) , and elsewhere. The hospital covers the entire catchment area of Gasabo District and it is located north of the City of Kigali , its geographical limitation is as follows:

South Kicukiro and Nyarugenge by the District; on the north by Gicumbi District in the Northern Province; northwest by Rulindo District ; to the east by Rwamagana District . Hospital Gasabo District c

Hospital vision

The vision of Kibagabaga Hospital is to increase the access to the care of the population in the catchment area, strengthening the PCA, developing networking with other hospitals in the city of Kigali while developing actions to protect the population against the negative effects of urban environmental problems.
